Sheet 04 — Tool

Build an equipment register

Add your units one at a time. You get a starting service interval for each and an order of attention — the thing most sites do not have and cannot buy.

The register

Intervals here are the starting figures in the table on sheet 01, adjusted for age and condition. They are a place to begin a conversation, not a specification — the real interval comes from standing in front of the unit.

No units listed yet

Add a unit on the left and the register starts. Nothing is stored anywhere — this list lives in this browser tab and disappears when you close it.

How the priority is worked out Age and condition each carry a weight. A unit that is old and neglected comes first; a young unit in good order is routine. It is deliberately crude — it exists to sort a list, not to replace an engineer's judgement, and it knows nothing about what the unit serves. A five-year-old unit cooling a server room outranks everything on this page, and only you know that.

What this is not

Not a specificationIntervals come from the manufacturer's requirements, the warranty, the environment and what the unit serves. This page knows none of those.
Not a condition surveyCondition here is your opinion of the unit. Ours comes from opening it, which is the whole point of a survey.
Not storedNothing you type is sent anywhere or saved. Close the tab and it is gone. Write the list down, or send it to us with the form.
Not a priceWe do not publish rates. A proposal comes from the survey, itemised per unit, in writing.
